Bacterial vaginosis

I am about to finish metronidazole 750mg x 7 days. i am wondering how long it should take for all symptoms to be gone?

Yes just like yeast it would be good for him to be treated as well so he doesnt pass it back to you.

Your partner may need to get treated as well.  Alot of men are carriers but have no symptoms.  BV is considered an std so no sex until you know it's gone.

I would think the symptoms would be gone by now.  Some vb is hard to treat and you may need to go another round or try a diff med.  I suggest getting into your dr, because vb can cause pid if untreated and can compromise fertility.  You don't want it to build up a resistance to the meds so I would call today.
