Why do I have vaginal bleeding?

I have been bleeding throughout the day from my bits and I am not due for a while on my period. It only has happened twice, I checked my knickers to make sure I hadn't started my period early but they were clean and I am in no pain at all. When on my period it is continuous flow and quite painful even though I am on the pill to try and restrict the pain. I wiped twice each time and found it was actual blood and not the usual stuff and also it is coming up on each tissue the first time i wipe and not the second. I am quite worried as I already have a lot of health issues and I do not want any more to add to the list.
