Bladder surgery

I am having surgery to repair a dropped bladder. I am having a sling to lift the bladder.  I am a nervous wreck. I had a vaginal prolapse and had surgery in '03, had ovaries removed in '05 and my partial hysterectomy '83.  Has anyone had this surgery what is the recovery.  My doctor said I should be able to return to work in a week.  Please help me out with your advise.

I am so afraid of another painful surgery- can you find out how how bad it was?  My doctor said that 3 aleve would be enough.  I want to cancel, but am afraid that if the bladder drops then the vaginal wall with come with.  I had a vaginal prolapse 2 years ago- don't want to go through that again. Thanks so much for any help. Kathy

I'm sorry, I have not, but had a co-worker who went through it and it seems like she was out about a week too, not very long.  Just wanted to wish you good luck!
