Bump between perineum and anus???

Ok this is totally embarassing, but you guys seem to good at giving answers, so here goes.  About a month ago I started getting itch that one normally associates with a yeast infection, so I bought the otc remedy.  It helped for a little while, but then started up again.  When it came back, it came back with avenge and it seemed like it was further down, like between the perineum and anus.  By this morning I was fed up and decided to look down there and see what was going on (I really never have before) and I see that there is a bump between the perineum and anus that is red, swollen, itchy and irritated.  I just had my pap about three months ago and it was competely normal, so I'm freaking out and not sure what is going on.  The more research I do, the more scared I am getting.  One of my friends said it could be hemmerhoids, but I don't know.....any help would be greatly appreciated!

Definately not that, I've been with my hubby for 7 years and was only with one other guy once in my life about 8 years ago.  I have changed both laundry detergents and bubbles baths recently, so I'm not sure if that could be causing it.  I have scheduled an appt. with the dr. for monday morning, hopefully she can solve the mystery and ease my mind.

You could have gential worts. If you had unprotected sex with anyone who had it, it's possible you also could have it. Please go back to your OBGYN and ask them to look at it. Maybe it could be your laundry detergent givin you problems as well, you just never know but I would most defentily get it checked out before it really spreads.

Take care.
