Brown Discharge???

Hi,
   At the time my period was due i got a thick Dark brown discharge that lasted 4-5days enough to wear a pad/tampon i didn't get any cramps or tender breast like normal and its been 10 days sense then and now i have a light brown discharge plus slight cramps, i have done two pregnancy test both have been negative,so i'm a little confused??

Two weeks ago I started experiencing pregnancy symptoms, I was bloated, cramping, tender breasts..etc.. a couple of weeks before my expected period.. but I waited a week to take a pregnancy test and it was negative. Anyway, just a few days ago I started having a thick white discharge that had an odor. And a day or so after that, I had a very small amount of bright red blood along with the discharge. Now the past two days have been a brownish red discharge, with a very slight odor.. I'm thinking I'm not pregnant.. But does anyone know what these discharges could mean? It's two weeks before I'm supposed to start my period..

hia, dont worry i always get this at the begining and the end of my period, it veries, sometimes its longer or shorter lasting and sometimes i get cramps mildly for days after while ive got the brown discharge, its just the last bit of blood left ver making its way out, i think.

Hey Asha, listen..I have had the same situation only before my AF was due..7days as a matter of fact. I noticed brown spotting that actually lasted all the way through to the next date AF was due on July 16th. I started noticing the change in the color from brown to a more red/brown the day before AF. That lasted for 2 days then I started getting a more red (not bright) but red discharge/bleeding. This was very unusual because it didn't look like a period. U know what your period discharge looks and smells like....a big nasty mess, where as this didn't. I couldn't understand what was going on so I decided to take a HPT the week of the brown spotting and another one the day after my AF was due. Both were BFN. I was still uneasy about what was going on so I went to the docs to explain and he did another urine test (neg) and a blood test. Called to get results on Friday and they weren't signed. Couldn't get them until this afternoon. So I had to go all weekend not knowing...that sucks.  I just want to know. I got married on June 17th and my AF came on June 18th....so I am hoping that my dh hit it on the nail. We weren't even concentrating on making a baby...just glad that the wedding was done....So I send out baby dust your way....Keep me posted with what you find out.  I would make an appointment with the doc and have a blood test done. In reading all of these post, it was said that sometimes the urine is too diluted and/or the HCG levels are really low where some HPT aren't sensitive enought to read it. Good luck!!!
