Hi Nikki,
The tan look you have found on your inner thighs could possibly be the early signs of the skin disease called vitiligo. It often affects the inner thighs, and it starts off as looking "tan," which seems odd to most people, because the inner thighs rarely get exposed to sunlight. The skin area affected by this disease loses all of its pigmentation, which eventually results in either white patches on the skin, and/or discolored skin areas. I would consider going to a regular doctor or, better yet, a dermatologist, to get it checked out and diagnosed. I hope that helps!
Hi Juju and all,
It seems that I have a very similar problem. I am 24 and I am not sexually active. I had, some years ago, a yeast problem to which I was prescribed some cream to treat it. Apart from the discomfort of the discharge (and smell) it was also very itchy too and I had a feeling of burn in the vagina area too. The cream did not help and only made the feeling even more uncomfortable. At the time I remember I had 3 or 4 small brown blisters close to my thigh and I thought it was to do with shaving or something like that so I ignored. Another attempt was made to treat the discharge, so I was also prescribed some pills, which once again were not of any help. In fact those only made the discharge even worst. Currently I still have the discharge (with smell), itching, feeling of soreness and the blisters kind of disappeared but it seems that this spread all over my skin in the vagina area since my skin in now dry and brown (and terribly itchy). Every time I scratch it, bits of died skin come out and if I do it very intensively it bleeds (which I try to avoid). At the time I feel it very itchy, my vagina is seems to be quite warm in comparison with the other parts of my body. The only way to get this to be less itchy is by cool it down with cold water, which is not always possible, specially when I am not at home!
Like three months ago I had a blood test to in order to try to identify the cause of yeast and all the tests came OK. I asked in specific for a diabetes test just to make sure that the cause of yeast was not to do with abnormal levels of sugar in the blood and the result was negative.
I guess that my skin is dry because I use pantyliners every single day and perhaps because my legs are a bit fat, which makes more difficult for that area to breath with ease. I am obviously very concerned about this, since for years I am in this situation and I have seen no progress so far to get this sorted. I would be very appreciated if someone could give me some advice!
PS: It seems that whenever I have my period (at least the 1st 3 or 4 days), the feeling of itchiness disappears but then it comes back to normal (very itchy). I do not use any vaginal spray and I normally wear cotton briefs.
Sorry for the long Comment, but I am quite desperate to get this sorted!!!
Regards

Hey people stop whining n search for some solution to this darkening thin
i heard talcum powder is of some help...
I don't think anybody is whining, they're just talking about their problems.
I also have pink-brown spots on my inner thighs. They're not itchy, not scaly-feeling... and I can't tell if they're raised or not, but there's a slight white ring around the bigger spots. I never had these spots until... I would say April 2009. They've gotten a little bigger since then, and the spots on my left inner thigh are starting to spread to my knee. Haven't been able to get in to a doctor (since I have no insurance, I keep getting referred to free clinics. And these free clinics tell me they're full or not accepting any new patients). Hopefully I can find an affordable doctor to see soon. It's summer and I want to be comfortable wearing shorts!
yo !
man i was actually looking for smome solutions over here but instead i saw no one has a solution n no one is searching fo them either thats why i figured out hat ive landed on a wrong place...

maybe i can be of some help.. my aunt is a doctor i didnt discuss this thing with her yet...
Talc has actually been found to increase the risk of cancers in women, which is why talcum powder is no longer used as even a baby powder. It's all corn starch now, so please, if you don't know what you're talking about, STFU.
Hey- I just read your symptoms and I had a similar problem about 10 years ago- and I went to the doctor for my annual pap smear and it wasn't anything serious- just a small fungal infection that the doctor prescribed some anti-fungal cream. And it went away. I can't remember if he also prescribed some antibiotics or not. Seems like he did. Hope this helps. If you can't go to a doctor- try using an antifungal cream that you can find over the counter-even tho it says for athletes foot- it's the same kind of thing.
It's sounds like, in most cases, tinea versicolor. (I went to the doctor about something similar). Tinea versicolor is a fungul infection that can be treated with selsun blue or other dandruff shampoos (putting it on infected areas and letting it sit for 10-30 minutes washing it off every day for something like a week or two). But for the people who just can't get rid of it -- or it comes back chronically... changing your diet will help a huge amount, but takes way more work and dedication. When it is important/extreme enough, consider going on a cleanse. In essence you want to rid your body of excess yeast, to do that you need to stop feeding the fungi/yeast, by cutting out the sugar it thrives on. So that means no sugar, no refined carbohydrates, no alcohol, etc etc.. We aren't talking a few days. This can take weeks or months. It definitely tests your will power. But if your condition is very serious... painful etc, this truly will help you. Good luck all.
Hey there... Did you ever find out what the problem was? Thanks,
Pt
Really Cosmo? I heard talcom causes cervical cancer. Get educated before you start telling people how to slowly kill themselves!
