Definitely you should see your doctor as soon as possible. There are a few possibilities. The ones that come to mind are: PCOS, stress, or thyroid issues. Make sure thyroid testing is included in whatever tests your doctor orders. Good luck! Keep us posted!
my period use to be irregular, until I was diagnosed with PCOS. My cycle seemed to never stop, I would bleed for 10 to 15 days and then stop for 2 to 3 days then start back up. My doctor performed a D & C and would give me provera if it started doing it again, after a couple of times it worked and I have had a period for 4 to 6 days every 28 days like clock work,
Definetly go see your doctor, because even if that is not what is wrong with you, you could be at risk for anemia, meaning you are running out of blood faster than you are making it. hope this helps
