Cervical Mucus/Ovulation

Hey guys I have a question for you all. At first I did not think I ovulated because I never got a POSTIVIE OPK. However after charting my temps it does appear that my BBT has elevated. I went from a pretty consistent 97.3 to 97.7, 98.1, dip to 97.3, 97.6, 97.8 as of today.
My question is that my CM has not dried up. It is no longer EWCM like I had on Monday but still pretty moist. Is this common? This is my 3rd month ttc but first month checking BBT, OPK and EWCM.
Also what day did I ovulate? Would it have been this past Monday with the major abundance of EWCM or would it have been a few days prior?? Thanks you guys are great!!!!

Hi,
I'm TTC and I've been checking my cervical mucus,  charting my temp and using ovulation predictor kits.
I'm on day 24 (I think I'm on a 40 day cycle, but it's hard to tell because I only came off the pill 3 months ago. I've also got PCOS, but only physically, not biochemically... meaning I have cysts on my ovaries, but my hormones are all normal) Anyway, my temp has not elevated (but I'm not expecting it to until day 26/27) and I haven't had a positive OPK (I kind of thought it would happen today). I have had really good EXCM, but today when I checked it was sticky and not stretchy.... so my question is, is it possible to have had fertile cervical mucus, but to not ovulate?

Thanks!

Sorry, just got your message now, thanks for the website I checked it out.  I haven't had any more globbies...lol. But cervix feels a bit softer than it has the last few days, today. And there is still a lot more CM than I usually have around now. I posted something in Maternal/child forum today about symptoms. I feel ok right now, but have been getting queasy after eating, usually in the eveings it's worse. Anyhoo...9 days to go. We shall see. Gotta go to bed, got church in the morning. God bless, talk to ya Monday!!!=D Baby dust all around**************

P.S. I've driven through Oklahoma...lol. Once between Cali. and Michigan, when visting family in Cali.

Born in east Texas, live in Dallas for 8 years, moved to Oklahoma, in between Tulsa and OKC.  Hey, I read your post about the huge white blob, did you get that website I send to Harleygrl?  Doesn't it say something about more discharge when you're preg. b/c of the cervix plugging up?  Do you want that website address again?  Oh how exciting, well, at least one of us might be preg.  I have no signs of preg, no extra discharge, just a couple more headaches.  That's it....rather get more discharge than headaches.  Keep me posted!!!

Hello, Yesterday I tested positive with my OPK finally. Also testing positive today as well. Called my doc and with my EWCM and previous temps she feels that I have Ovualted 2x this cycle. Said to watch out for twins and to BD tonight and tomorrow. YIKES!!! Here I was thinking I was not ovulating at all.
I told her that I am due for my cycle next Friday which only gives 6-7 days for implantation. She said that mnay women think that BUT when you ovulate your body does not stick to the cylce you are used to and that if I were to have a period it would not come until 14 days post ovulation. In some intances women have lutel (spelling unsure of) defect. She does not think I am one of them but I am to let her know if my AF shows up in 7 days and she will treat me with meds for my next month of ttc.

Yes, I would think that 98 is a high temp.  The thing is, it's kind of hard to know if you don't have your pre-ov temps.  Pre-ov my temps range from 96.9 to 97.3.  After OV, they range from 97.5 to 98.  Every women is different though.  Are you actually charting like on a graph?  That's an easier way to tell.  You just draw a coverline above your lowest temps, then anything above the line is a a good sign.  I just realized this may sound confusing.  See if you can find some examples of completes BBT charts online.  I was not excited about the process at first, but now that I've been doing it for 3 months I really like it.

OK, I took my temp this morning and it was 98.0  And I guess since I've been taking my temps in the afternoon instead of the morning, they are probably all on average a couple tenths too high.  Is 98 degrees still considered high on BBT charting?

I'm EXACTLY with you guys. My CM hasn't really dried up like it usually does either, and I feel like I'm a leaky faucet today, sorry for the graphics. I am at the MOST 5dpo also, but probably more like 4. I bd'ed all last week, at LEAST every other day, I think I only missed two days, but not in a row. So I'm not sure EXACTLY when I o'ed. We're all in the waiting boat together...lol. I'm gonna check out that website above also. I have 11 days to AF...ugh....=( God bless!!! Keep us posted!!! Baby dust to ALL, including me!!! =)

Yeah right...the only pregnancy symptoms I might, could possibly have are an increase in headaches.  I have had a headache for the past 3 days that I can't get rid of.  Taken tylenol and everything, I never get headaches, especially for this long.  Oh well, a little early for me, only 5 dpo, we'll see.  Good Luck!!!

Hey, I just read on a website that having you CM not dry up could be a sign of pregnancy, not to get your hopes up, but the plugging of the cervix makes you secrete more fluids than nomal.  Go to this website to read about it:

Good Luck!!  Baby Dust**********

Good luck!!! Isn't it frustrating having to go through all of this??? I am still having twinges but I also had them two months ago and no pregnancy.   Still wet CM too, not sure if that really means a whole lot though.

Ok, I reread the post, it should stay up past ovulation which it is.  I'll check in the morning.

See, I was temping at around 5:45 pm, but i was getting readings of 97.8 and 97.6 like I should before I ovulate.  So I figured it was o.k.  Yesterday I temped at 5:45 like normal and it's 98.6.  Don't get me too excited yet!  I'll check tomorrow morning, first thing, and I'll let you know.  AAHHH, now that's all I'm thinking about, but I've had a couple of people say it will stay elevated until your AF, and you're the second to tell me it should go back down.....

Temps should not go down until your AF comes. If pregnant they stay elevated.  Are you temping first thing in the morning while in bed. 98.6 is pretty high for an ealry morning reading. You must have definitley ovulated!!!

I answered your question on the maternal forum, but I also responded to you yesterday about BBT charting.  I can't remember what it's under, maybe your question to Kimmie.  Anyway, I just wanted you to know there's a response for you.

What I've heard about the temps is that you should go up about .4 degrees after you ovulate.  Which makes sense for you since that's what you did.  Also, is your BBT supposed to go back down after you spike.  Mine has not yet, still 98.6, and I'm 5 dpo.  Just curious...

You probably OVed on the last day of your low temp.  I can't really answer the CM question.  I do know that if you have EWCM thats a very good sign that you are either OVing or will be in 1-2 days.  I never have EWCM so I really don't know.  I am 5 days past OV and still producing some CM.  This is very unusual  for me.  I'm usually pretty dry by now. (Sorry to be graphic)  I've also been extremely bloated for the past 2 days.  I don't know if they're preg symptoms or what.  I haven't used OPKs before, but I hear mixed reviews about them.  I think it's best to follow your body signs if you have them.  Best of luck to you.
