I suffer from chronic UTI's. I used to get them maybe twice a year. I now have had 16 UTI's in the past year, and was curious to think that maybe it's one chronic UTI that has never gone away? I have been to the doc's several time due to the UTI's. I take 2 500 MG of Cranberry tabs a day, multi vitamins, drink bi-carbonate in my water (suggested by a book I read) and even use Bactrim before and after intercourse. I have also starting taking showers after intercourse and urinating before and after and STILL get infections. It's not everytime I have intercourse however it most certainly does induce the problem. I have had blood work , a 24 hour urine sample, an endoscopy (tube in your tract to make sure everything is structually correct) and everything seems fine. Besides having too much calcium in my blood the problem still exists? I am so frustrated, does anyone have any suggesions in something else that may work? I'm desperate!
