Continuouse vaginal bleeding

Hi!
I have been having mostly continuous vaginal bleeding for the last 6 month.  The bleeding is not heavy or painful. I have been able to just use a panty liner or two daily. Occasionally, there are quite large clots that seem to come out of nowhere.  I have been diagnosed with PCOS...not sure if this could be the cause.  Any ideas on what this could be?  Is this a common occurance in women?  Before the last 6 months, I probably only had 3 or 4 regular periods (w/o the help of birth control or progesterone) since i was 13...currently 27.

Thanks for all the feedback...actually, I haven't been to the Dr. yet because I was laid off from my job and lost my insurance. My new insurance does not kick in for two weeks...so, I will see the DR then.  I noticed a couple comments about being exhuasted...the funny thing is, that I dont feel tired or exhausted at all.  I know that sounds weird.  Either way, thanks for the feedback!!

My niece suffers from a similar problem.  She has been bleeding for over 6 months, and she has had her birth control changed a dozen times, and she has taken the medication for a DNC, and she has had a DNC and so far they can't tell her why "she" is bleeding.
The doctor has pretty much told her to get a hysterectomy or have a baby.  Well she is not in a relationship to have a baby and she is under 30 so to have a hysterectomy would be horrible.

I agree with Pcogale you need to see a DR and get checked out it can be seriouse.  I'm over 30 and I have PCOS.

I meant to say: you MUST be exhausted!

You lust be exhausted from the blood loss.

Get checked out for uterine polyps and fibroids; both can cause continuous bleeding.

And why haven't you been to see a doctor?

This could be serious, get a check up ASAP.
