Second period after Pan B?

I ended my last period on the 14th after a week. Nothing special. Three days later, I had sex. I've been sexually active for about the last 6 or so months. I can't get birth control, so my partner and I are relying solely on condoms. Unfortunately, the condom broke. We went out and bought some plan B, and everything was good. That is until today, a week later, I began to bleed. I thought it was just maybe a scratch after having some fun last night with my partner, but it's continued all day into a full period.

Is it common for this to happen after taking Plan B? I read a period could come sooner, but a two-three week break with barely any fertility window seems weird. Is this normal?

(P.S., I apologize for the poor grammar, I am typing this under a Christmas dinner table.)

Hi, yes.  This is very common.  Plan B is a whopping dose of hormones that disrupts things so you can't conceive.  This is how it works.  But then your body is left with all those hormones and it will definitely impact your period.  You can bleed early, then have a long cycle of no period, or spotting. All common.  Make sure you use VERY good birth control/condoms in the next few months to make sure you are safe because it takes a while to get back to normal and you won't know when you'll next ovulate.  good luck hon
