Delayed PAP results-uterine fibroid, thickened stripe...history of heavy periods...

Abnormal PAP. Doc performed a colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, vaginal ultrasound. Ultrasound results show the endometrial stripe thickened, nonspecific echogenic focus located in upper endometrial canal, hypoechoic relative to the endometrial stripe, A uterine fibroid with a submucosal component.

Will I need a hysterectomy? What should I expect even if the biopsy is clear of uterine or cervical cancer?

When do you have your follow up appointment? Your doctor should guide you in this. I do think some women get ablation instead of hysterectomy for this.  You may be a good candidate for that. Talk to your doctor and let us know what they say!
