Did I mess up NuvaRing? Please help!

Please let me know if you can answer my NuvaRing question!

On April 2 I found out I miscarried -- 2nd trimester loss, so I had to have a D&C. I had the D&C five days later. Two weeks following the D&C, I had my follow-up appointment with an RN (my OB had been called into a delivery, of course). She suggested I get on birth control for a while, since we decided not to try to conceive again soon, so she recommended the NuvaRing. She said that since we hadn't had sex (so no chance of being pregnant) I could start it that night, which I did.

So now I think I am starting my period, but I'm not supposed to take out this NuvaRing for another week and a day. Do I just wait until I'm supposed to take it out, or should I take it out now and put another one in in a few days, almost like I was just starting over with it?

I don't want to mess it up...but seems like if AF is here, I already this past month anyway.

Please help!

Ok, good. That's what I've done. AF didn't come like I thought anyway...I'm still spotting after the D&C so it's so hard to tell if it's just a little MORE than spotting or what. I just want my body back to normal!

Thanks!!

Leave it in!!  If not you chance getting pregnant.  Your body will probably adjust to the nuvaring as you continue use and re-adjust your cycles so that you will get your periods during the week you take it out.
