I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome which can cause your periods to be very irregular and cause infertility issues. This may be something you want to check for with your doc. We tried once upon a time for a baby, I want to say close to a year, to no avail. then I did get pregnant once, but the very next day I miscarried. This is another problem with pcos.
i havnt had a period in almost 9 months iv been trying to get pregnant but i cant. my mom told me not to worry. His mom keeps blowing it off. But we keep trying. I have a sist on my ovary. i dont know what to do its been a year of trying and iv lost hope.
I don't have irregular periods but i did have a phase when i did not have a period for 2 months. I went throught all of the dr. visirs and blood work...the whole nine! I had the same ? you have, and my dr. said if there is no period then there is no ovulation! I hope that this info helps a little.... The best way to avoid pregnancy is to be careful and avoid unsafe sex. Alot of us are desperately trying to have a baby and it kind of hurts to see a female become pregnant if that wasn't on her agenda. I hope things work out the way you want them to.
I have always had irregular periods. This last year they seem to be regulating themselves but once and a while I still do skip a period. Right now I do believe it would be too soon to tell if you are pregnant...and since you are irregular this could just end up being a period or some spotting or hell just coincidentally just some cramping. So it looks like you have some time to wait.
I did want you to know that years ago I stopped having periods for about six months and at the time I was trying to have a baby so I went to the doctors. They had told me at that time that I was probably not ovulating and therefore not having a period but they were totally wrong. A few months later I ended up getting pregnant and I had still not been getting periods. So, just because you arent getting your period every month, dont assume that you arent ovulating.
someone else on here asked about the depo shot...yes sometimes it can take quite a while to get pregnant after being on the depo shot as with any other birth control. For some women it can take as long as they were on it to get pregnant after stopping it. But if you are truly concerned with this, it wouldnt hurt to talk with your OB about it and make sure there is nothing else going on.
ok so im 18 years old, and i havent had a period in a year, i got on BC in august of last year to regulate my period, but instead i continued to not have one, therefore since jan. of 2007 i have only had 5 periods, 2 b4 the BC and 3 after, my last one was in october of last year. can i still get pregnant if im not having a period?
