Does rubber affect sperm quality?

I was wonder if anyone knows if rubber has any adverse affects on sperm? I know that sperm are very sensitive and many lubes kill sperm, so I was wonder if rubber does also.

Maybe she meant "a rubber"...like the slang for a condom.  Maybe we should answer assuming that's what she meant.
A condom alone will not kill sperm.  It just provides a barrier so that the sperm don't get into the vagina/cervix.  That's why most condoms come with a spermicide, so the sperm are blocked, and killed!
Hope this answers your questions.

But the whole point of a rubber (condom) is to prevent the sperm from doing their job.  So of course that kind of rubber would affect them.  So that couldn't have been what was meant.

But good try!

I think $20 is excessive.

I do laugh mostly at myself.  This is true.  :-)

But na_dine said "adverse affects" and so I'm going to assume she does not mean a condom.  If someone is worried about adverse effects then they don't use condoms.  Overall though, na_dine, she's right - rubber should not hurt the sperm.

I'm intrigued by the rubber glove idea...  What made you suggest that one?

Great - my coffee just came shooting out of my nose.  Garden hose.  Too funny!

A rubber tire would have an adverse affect on sperm, though.
