Easy to get pregnant after a D&C?

I had a D&C Friday, August 19th. The following Wednesday (8/24) I called my doctor with bad cramping pain.  I went in and my uterus was "full of blood". I sayed home the remainder of the week and took pills to make me contract and expel the rest of the tissue (apparently uncommon), painful and sad.  

Today is Thursday, 9/1 and I think the bleeding and clots have finally stopped.  Has anyone else experienced this and gotten pregnant easily again?  Are you more fertile after being "cleaned-out"? It took us a while and this would have been our first pregnancy. I am not sure if I should wait for unprotected sex or not...Thanks in advance!

i had a D&C in july it was my 3rd pregnancy but lost my twins that were conjoined at 9w2d. after a few days maybe like 5 days after i was having really bad cramping and huge blood clots and i went to the er and they told me its uncommen but it does happen. its been almost 4 months next month on the 26th. im still trying to get pregnant. my dr told me that i could try to get pregnant 1 month after having a one full cycle. so i think its just up to the dr to tell you when you should ttc again. one of my friends told me it took her up to 1 year before she got pregnant. i just hope that dont happen to me. and some people told me it makes you more fertial but i dont think it true. other wise wouldnt we be pregnant by know hehehe.

Thanks for the reply (sorry for the delayed response).  We did wait 2 weeks/ 5 days after the D/C before being together again.  We have had unprotected sex twice now (not exactly TTC), which kind of makes me nervous but at the same time I am just going with whatever happens. I am now waiting for AF to return, it will be 4 weeks since procedure on Friday, and I also have my follow-up appointment then.  I am just srossing my fingers that we conceive again sooner than later!  Anyways - thanks again!

After a D&C it's best to wait at least 1-3 months before trying to get pregnant again. This is just to allow the uterus to heal as well as the lining to rebuild itself. Make sure you wait to have sex for at least 2 weeks after you had this done to avoid infection as well.
