Anyone have pain on the inside of their leg that almost made walking impossible when the baby moved late in pregnancy - Like 38-39 weeks? How about fingers going numb?
Thanks for all the advice. Its kind of hard to put your feet up when your a pharm tech....its all run run run. I do get to sit down every now and then. Plus in Sept. we are getting a robot and Im getting a chair to sit in to work him. I worked yesterday for about 4 hours so when I came home I put my feet up and they are not swollen now. I'm going to call my Dr today if the swell again. Because they havent been going down at all. My blood pressure was a little high for me the past two days also....130/80.....not bad but mine is normally 120/80...always. Thanks again!!!!!!!!
I worked during my entire pregnancy and would have ankle swelling by the end of the day. It helped me to try to schedule my days where I did not have to stand for long periods of time and I always tried to sit down whenever I could. You want to elevate your feet as much as possible. I would even put a stepstool under my desk at work to get my feet up while working. And of course try to keep your feet elevated all evening long. I know it is so uncomfortable. My last 10 weeks I couldn't stand for long without pain in my ankles and Braxton Hicks contractions would start up as well. Good luck to you!!
Thanks so much for your response. People keep asking me if Ive felt the baby move and I dont know what to look for. I havent had a "kick" or "punch" yet but it probably will happen soon. Im almost 23 weeks....I think Im going to call my Dr Wed because for the last week my ankles are very swollen and will not go down, not even at night. Today my Blood pressure was a little high....Im hoping its not toxcemia (however you spell it). Thanks again!!
I forgot to tell you one more thing, when you feel your stomach get hard on one side and then switch to the other side, that is the baby moving. I had that happen all the time early on and actually saw her change sides during my first ultrasound. Pretty soon the baby will run out of room and won't be able to "hang out" on whichever side she chooses!
I had a baby girl 9 months ago and I first felt sensations of movement around 20 weeks pregnant. It is so slight at first that you could easily be missing it!! It felt like tiny air bubbles coming to the surface in maybe a line across your stomach. Imagine a little tiny arm or leg!! It was more like 26 weeks before I felt more of a "bump". I could feel her move more when I was very still. When you are moving around I think they are "lulled" to sleep!! Good Luck!
