Forgot to pack BC

I forgot to pack my refill of ortho-cyclen when I left for winter break (I'm a college student). I'll run out on the 28th of December. When I get back to campus, should I wait to resume my prescription until the end of my next cycle or should I resume it asap? Thanks!

ps - It might be time, if you are in college, to at least tell your mom that you are sexually active.  Just sayin.

Essentially, you could do one of three things.
1.  Ask the doctor or clinic that prescribed your pills to call in a one-month pack to a pharmacy near you, and pay cash for it so your parents won't find out.  They aren't very expensive, and there is no requirement that you have to use your parents' insurance to pay.
2.  Go to Planned Parenthood and explain your dilemma and have a doctor prescribe for you there.
3.  Let your period come when the pills run out.  You won't be protected for the subsequent month, so use condoms and foam if you get back to school and have sex before the month is up.  Start a new pack after your next period.

You can't just use money to pay for it?  The doctor is not going to call your mom and tell her what kind of pill you're on.

Ideally I could do that, but my parents dont know I'm on BC. I'd have to use their insurance to pay for it.

I agree with Annie. Your doc should have no problem phoning in a prescription for you while on break.

It depends on how many days the break will be.  If more than a couple of days, your period should come, and you begin again.  But why not just get your doc to call in one month's prescription to the local pharmacy where you are?  Doctors do this all the time when people leave their meds behind.
