I have read the following, hope it might help you: "The severity of your pain isn't necessarily a reliable indicator of the extent of the condition. Some women with mild endometriosis have extensive pain, while others with advanced endometriosis may have little pain or even no pain at all." (from Mayo Clinic online)
I have tried not to worry this month. I figure when it's meant to be it will happen. Thanks for all the well wishes.
Sorry to ask a million questions but I've never tracked my bbt before. What am I looking for?
Cramps that do not get better with even pain pills is how I would describe mine. My sister who also has endo would vomit from the pain of hers.
Ok, maybe that's not what I have than. I just want to understand why it's so hard to conceive. I feel that at least if I knew something was wrong than I could fix it.
It takes the average healthy couple 12 months to get pregnant. Each month there is only a 20-25% success rate so it does take time for some couples. It took me 9 months and that was with Clomid and an HSG. I got pregnant the month after the HSG, when did you have yours done?
I had mine done 2 months ago. I was told that I may get pregnant right after but that never happened. My fiance has 2 kids from a previous marriage so I know that his sperm count is fine. I used an opk last month and had an LH surge but didn't become pregnant. I am now tracking my bbt and using an opk. My last period was very strange. I had light pink bleeding for the first 2 days then it stopped. The next day I had brown blood and then a day after that it was heavy with cramps. It lasted 10 days. I usually am heavy on the first or second day with cramps and it usually only lasts 7 days. This was a weird one. I also had a yeast infection and I haven't had one for 3 years. I'm also experiencing hemrroids which I haven't had. It has been a very strange month.
My symptoms were severe cramps during af, pain during sex, and cramping/pain at all different times of my cycle. I had a laparoscopy to dx it 4 years ago. It took, me 9 months to get pregnant also. But I also have PCOS. Good Luck to you!
What is PCOS? Is that not ovulating? I suppose I don't have endometriosis and I guess the only way to tell if I ovulate is by tracking my bbt. Is that right?
Tracking BBT is a very good way to learn a ton about yourself! I did it and I am glad I did! PCOS is ploycystic ovary syndrome. Yes, you don't ovulate when you have it. Start tracking your BBT on the first day of your cycle. Good Luck!
What do you consider painful cramps? It doesn't hurt when I have sex. When I get my period I do have a couple of days where cramping is really bad but is eleviated by motrin or advil. I don't want to have surgery unless I am sure, but I guess I can't be sure without the surgery.
That's fine! Your temps are lower prior to O, after O you will have a noticable temp shift that you can see when you chart all your temps. You should also pay attention to cervical mucuos. It will become like egg whites about the time you O. Also there is a very good book with tons of info called Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It answers all the questions I had and more! It has everything from getting pregnant to not! If you have more questions, just ask!
Also, go to www.fertilityfriend.com It has a lot of example charts and you can chart there for free!
Thanks a bunch. After your PCOS you were able to conceive, right? I remember you saying you got pregnant 9 months later.
Yes I am 7w 5d today! I had to take metformin for three months before I got pregnant. I had a m/c last Aug, but I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS unitl March of this year.
Well congratulations. I'm sure it wasn't easy for you. It must feel great after all that hard work. It gives me hope.
There is still plenty of hope for you! Have you talked to your dr about getting pregnant at all yet? I was lucky I have a great dr. She started doing some blood work after I was having severe pain in my lower left abdomen. Turns out it was all the cysts. It is a VERY good idea to start BBT charting now, so if you ever have to see a fertility specialist you're already one step ahead. Good Luck, I hope you get your BFP soon!
I did speak with her, and she said not to worry. Because I was stressed she had me take an HSG just to see if my tubes were blocked. Since that was fine she's not wanting to do anything else until I've tried for atleast a year. She said have sex everyother day and just relax. Easy for her to say. Thanks though, I hope I get pregnant soon.
sometimes its as easy as not worry about conceiving. The more stress the harder it is. Try and I know that it is hard, just to relax and not think of it when you are having sex. I know its hard. My friend had a hard time TTC and she finally did as well as I. It took me 1 1/2 years.
I didn't have any symptoms of endometriosis except bad menstrual cramps. I had a HSC and all was fine too. But we still weren't getting pregnant so I just had laparscopic surgery 3 weeks ago and they found stage 3 endo. So they really can't tell if you have endo. unless you have a laparoscopy. Hope this helps.
An HSG will not detect any endometriosis. The best way to determine if you have it is surgery. That is how mine was diagnosed. My symptoms were diahrea(sp) huge blood clots, severe cramping all during my period. With very painful intercourse all the time regardless of where I was in my cycle.
