Heavy Periods with Blood Clots

I am going onto 3wks now since I have my period and it varies from heavy to light but always with blood clots. This is the first time this has happened to me, I have noticed that after being married to my husband for 1year and 5months my period has become very weird and at times would go on for more than a week and then I wouldn't have my period for nearly 2months or more!! What is happening to me??

passage of clots means increased blood loss...u can safely use mefanamic acid tablets TDS during your period...it functions by decreasing blood loss plus it helps in dissolution of clots....however for irregularity of periods u should go to a gynacologist for a quick check up.......

Hi,
If you've been bleeding for 3 weeks now, I would advise you to see your doctor, especially if the blood clots are more than a quarter in size.  With the irregular periods and now the heavy bleeding you've been having, I do think it's wise to see your obgyn if possible as well.  Good luck and please let us know how it goes.
