Help ...bladder infection ????

I've been having bladder infections the last few months but with NO symptoms other than the strips in drs office telling me I have blood and bacteria in my urine.   So I was put on antibiotics by my family dr who also gave me a urine test in a lab which came back positive.  He then referred me to a specialist. The specialist gave me ct scan and an ultrasound to which both came back normal.  The specialist doesn't think the strip method is giving the right diagnosis and he's telling me I should come off the antibiotics and wait until I have symptoms of a TRUE bladder infection.  Not sure what my family dr will say to this.  Do I have an infection or don't I have one.....I honestly don't know what to believe anymore.

I did have a urine test at the hosp which came back with pus in my urine.  I then had a culture done which came back multiply bacteria which they said was contaminated ???  So I went back to family dr yesterday who told me to stay on the pills and when I'm done to go get another urine test.

Hello,
I agree with your specialist as you need to stop the antibiotics and then get a urine routine examination and a urine culture done. Urine culture will clarify the infection as well as the susceptible antibiotics and then they can be prescribed.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
