Hi there and welcome.  well, that is always tricky stuff to know exactly.  One thing you can do is to track your cycle in general. Day one of your period is day one of your cycle.  Most women ovulate around day 14 and have around a 24 hour window to conceive that the egg is available to fertilize.  Sperm can live a few days though.  Honestly, as a woman that tried to get pregnant for a long time, I've come to believe each and every baby is a miracle!  Time can feel hard to get right when you are trying.  So with most women ovulating around day 14 of their cycle, the recommendation that doctors give is to begin having sex every other day (important that it is every other and not every) for 10 days.  This usually should hit the window of ovulation.

You can also track your cycle through your first mornings temperature.  your temperature is higher until you ovulate and then it will begin dropping unless you've conceived and then the temp stays high the whole pregnancy.  This doesn't help you know BEFORE you ovulate but helps you get a general idea for the next cycle when you ovulate.  I did this for a bit of time to A. make sure I was ovulating and B. because I could figure out from that my general pattern of ovulation and use that to help me when trying.

They also make some ovulation kits that many women use.  I had trouble with these myself but they might be better now than they were 10 years ago when trying with my first.

Hope that helps. good luck
