Help please

I've had endometriosis and ovarian cysts for 9 years now. I also have lupus. I have been on narcotics for over a month now due to the birth of my son and severe pain from the endometriosis returning full force. I was told at the age of 16 that I would never have children and now that I have one I would like to have a hysterectomy. How should I approach a doctor with this? Or are there any other forms of pain management other than narcotics? I am no longer on the narcotics because I became physically addicted and am on my 52 hour of withdrawal. Thanks for your time.

Thank you. I'm just afraid I will get the answer "You're too young" like I have a million times before. I'm in the full throes of withdrawal (I feel like I'm dying) and I'm still in excruciating pain from the endo. I don't know what to do....

Hon, if anyone merits a hysterectomy, it is someone whose endometriosis is so bad that it requires addictive painkillers.  No doctor would turn you down.  Just make an appointment with your gyno and discuss it.  Good luck!
