Hormone levels and Pregancy

Okay.. so I went to the ER on Tuesday for bleeding (spotting) and some cramping. I got an ultrasound done and the gestinastional sac was very present, but you couldn't see a "yoke sac". I got a hormone level test done w/ a blood sample. I had to check up with my doctor today (Friday) and get another blood test done... I got a blood test also done on Wednesday evening. When I went in today, my OBGYN told me that my hormone levels are not doubled like they should. That they have only gone up by like 500 or something. He told my finace and I to be prepared to pass a miscarriage. He offered me the surgery but I turned it down in fear that there is still a possiblity. I am really worried because we have tried and tried for a while and finally got pregnant. I am 6 weeks along, but have only really been pregnant for 4 weeks.... so is it normal for my hormone levels to be like this? Do they normally spike around like 7 or 8 weeks? I found out so early becasue I took a HPT and also got a blood test done that said positive..... when I would have been 4 weeks but really only 2 weeks pregnant, because of the time from my LMP. Any advice? Could me doctor be wrong? Should I get a second opionion from my family doctor or another OBGYN? I am schedule to get my hormones checked in two weeks to determine if they are at a negative so I know that I passed the embroy. Please help us out!

Your comments really help me get pull through this. Like, maybe I am only like three weeks pregnant and it's just implantation. My aunt bleed and cramped the entire time during her last pregnancy and my couisn is now 4 this year. You know how some women "feel pregnant"? I feel it. My boobs hurt and are still HUGE... I get cravings, I have every symptom. I am nervous but am going to get a second opionion. I refuse to believe what this doctor tells me until I see proof that my hormone levels are decreasing instead of increasing at anytime right now.
