How long should it take to get your period after IUD removal?

I had the Mirena IUD placed after my son was born 3 years ago.  I have had pain on my left side for the past 6 months.  I have had several ovarian cysts during that time (mind you after my daughter was born i had my right ovary removed due to a large ovarian cyst 17mm).  I had it removed in July 2011 thinking that it was causing the pain.  I did not have a period the whole three years I had it.  Here is a month later and I am still having the pain and I have a hemorrhagic cyst partially collapsed on my left ovary.  I also have not had a period yet either.

I am so frustrated because the GYN says it is not the cysts causing my pain and want me to see GI doctor.  Don't have any symptoms of GI problems.  Most recent CT scan stated that most likely reason is the ovarian cyst.  No evidence of bowel obstruction or diverticulitis, etc.

Help!
