Hysterectomy? No options.

Hey there,
I am looking for some information/personal experiences/advise etc., a hysterectomy. This may be a controversial topic for some, and I have thought ling and hard, and I am still thinking about it.
I am 20 years old, and have endometriosis, adenomyosis and small cysts on my ovaries.
My periods have always been exceptionally heavy, and have only got heavier and more painful. I have had 2 unsuccessful laparoscopy's (both resulted in minor complications), I have tried 7 different contraceptive pills, 2 mirenas, cyproterone, zoladex, norethisterone, depoprovera, and numerous other medications to try to manage the pain and bleeding.
I have been severely anaemic for years (hospitalised due to severe anaemia, passing out because of the amount of blood loss etc.,) as a result of the heavy bleeding.
I have been hospitalised because the pain is so bad I pass out and vomit.
I feel like I have tried everything possible, and I have seen numerous gynaecologists who have all told me I have no options left.
I have recently been offered another laparoscopy, but I'm not so sure (mainly because my adhesions are so bad it has only increased the pain).
I am 20 years old and I want a hysterectomy, I miss a week a month of my life because my periods are so heavy I cannot leave the house, or I am in so much pain I am vomiting. And the last few days of my period and the last few days after it has finished I am so weak I struggle to stand without passing out.
I feel like my quality of life is poor because of all of this, and there are no options left. If there are any options, I don't think I have the energy to try them.
All 4 gynaecologists I have seen refuse to give me a hysterectomy (because of my age) but offer no other treatment options.
I would just like to know peoples thoughts on this, and if you have any suggestions that would be fabulous.
Sorry for the rant/novel.
Thank you in advance

Hi there.  Well, hon, besides the obvious downside to a hysterectomy at 20 of never being able to have children (and it is hard to know at that young age if you think you don't want them now that it may change as time goes on . . .) but it throws your body into menopause over night.  Menopause is NO fun.  Your skin will age, your vagina will be dryer, your sex drive will change, you will have a harder time keeping weight off, etc.  It drastically changes your endocrine system to have a hysterectomy.

And if four doctors have said no, I would listen to their reasoning.  It IS about more than just your fertility.

Have you asked about ablation?

Thanks for your reply,
I understand why they have said no, however they have all said there's nothing else they can do at all. My quality of life is quite poor, and the pain and the tests are awful.
I am not elligible for an ablation because they have explained that it will worsen the adenomyosis.
I'm just struggling at the moment, I don't know where to turn or what to try.
