vagisil screening kit

I have tried (due to the recommendation of a friend) the Vagisil screening kit.  It cost me $13.99 at Wlagreens and you get two kits.  Very easy to do and to understand.  It takes 5 seconds and then you will know what is causing discomfort.  I am glad that I found this and since I have not read where anyone else has used it I thought I would post a positive comment about it.

It is just helpful to take the guess work out of what could possible be wrong.  Plus if you have something other than a yeast infection you will know to call and make an appointment with your dr.  And hopefully if it is a yeast infection you can just tell your doctor instead of having to have them look at the goodies just to tell you something you already know.

I think this is a great thing--and I will reccomment it to all my girl friends!!!!!!

It will not screen for STD's that I know of.  Meaning I do not know what color the litmus paper would turn with an STD?  Your best bet is to see your docotor.  Also I believe that it is only for the use of vaginal infections not any type of STD.

It might even be useful for distinguishing between diaper rash that is a yeast and some other kind of tushie inflammation on one's baby.  A poster was on last week who had a daughter who had had inflamed skin there for months, and she wasn't getting anywhere with Nystatin.

It sounds useful for the posters who have "something" and think treating for yeast infection will cure it whatever it may be.  A lot of posters would rather just test at home if it is possible to do.

Oh ok. can't tell who is who sometimes on these boards. There was a woman on another board who promoted hpts heavily and then finally admitted she was being paid to do it. So, you can see why your post came across as an advert.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've never had a yeast infection. Im glad at least its out on the market (less money for the docs :)

actually anne I am a 31 year old stay at home mom--who just quit her great job to move across the country for my husbands job and do not have the money to go to a Dr everytime I think something is wrong---I used the product for the first time an hour ago because I wanted to know what was wrong with me.

I had not seen anything posted about the screening kit so I thought others would like to know that it works and is worth the money and takes the guess work and worry away!!!

So if I helped someone by posting this then I did a good job for someone.  But thanks for your comment
