Vaginal Problem!!!

Hi! I have a really big problem. Something weird is happening at my vagina. This is not the first time it happens, but it's the worst!!! Sometimes after I finished intercourse with my boyfriend (3 years), I ended up with little cuts, pain, irritation, burning, well... you get the idea. He ended up with little cuts too. This time, for me, is getting worse. He says I have an infection. Some kind of blisters appeard. They hurt, they burn when I go to the bathroom and they itch a lot. I've been trying to keep the area clean and dry. I have been also having some strange discharge. When this discharge comes out, the blisters itch more and more. I can't sleep, sit straight or even walk right. I've been using Vagisil, but I don't think it's working. My ob appointment is not until monday. I'm really worried, because I'm young and I wouldn't like to imagine I have an STD. Please help. I was considering going to another doctor tomorrow, but my health insurance doesn't cover that other doctor. Should I wait until monday or should I go to this other doctor?? Thank you.

I thought keeping it dry would help, because discharge would make it itch! I think is getting better. I couldn't go to the ob-gyn yesterday because it was a holiday, so the office was closed. I will go today and let you know. Thank you for your support and advice!

'Gone haywire'  would translate into, yeast infection is really bad and out of control.  You shouldn't wash yourself 'down there' with soap. That actually dries things up and adds to the irritation, not to mention it can change the ph of your vagina which is bad too.  What did  the doc say/do?

Thank you very much!!
The pads I use are called: Nosotras. I stopped using scented tampons and I have never liked Always. As using soap I meant when I take a bath I wash myself with Dove, including down there.
Could you please explain "haywire".
I haven't scratched at all, though it itches and hurts a lot, specially when I go to the bathroom, urine touches the little ulcers. One of my minor lips is swollen, so I will try the cold compresses.
He ended up with little cuts, but he is like new right now. It happened to him, just after we finished, sometimes. But I'm going to the doctor on monday. I will try to survive till then, cause it hurts and burns a lot.
Thanls everyone for the help!!!

"Could it be the frequent use of light days pads, tampons or a different soap??"

This could be part of it.  What type of pad do you use?  If they are scented, or Always brand, stop using them now !   You shouldn't be using soap to clean yourself, water and your fingers will do.  Make sure you aren't using scented tampons either.   It's best to use laundry detergent that has no scent or color, like All Free and Clear.

It's possible that you just have a yeast infection gone haywire.  Don't scratch, that will make matters worse. Try cold compresses or soak in a epsom salt bath.     If he ended up with slit like cuts, he may also have a yeast infection. It would be best if both of you saw a doctor.

I read about herpes and didn't like what it said. I'm really sad, because I'm only 21 and never thought it could happen. Could it be the frequent use of light days pads, tampons or a different soap??
Thanks a lot!!

I know you probably don't wanna hear this, but it sounds like herpez. My advise is go to a clinic and get tested. Maybe you're having an alergic reaction to something, but you should check. Blisters, burning, spells herpez. If it goes away sometimes, and then comes back, most likely it's herpez.
