Ingrown pubic hair

I think I have an ingrown hair on the inner lip of my vagina.  It looked almost like a pimple.  I tried to pop it but it hurt too much.  I thought it would go away but it has been a week and if anything, it seems to have gotten bigger.  I can see a hair sticking out of it.  What should I do?  Does this sound like something I should worry about, and perhaps see a doctor about?

Grasp the hair with tweezers (that have been cleaned) and jiggle it so that you break open the pore, then you should be able to extract the pus. Wash the area and then apply an antiseptic cream. Don't pull the hair out because then they have a tendency to grow back as an ingrown hair. Ingrown hairs are common.
