Hi,
I'm 19 and I first had my period when i was 15. I had my period 3 to 4 times after that and then my period stopped for about a year with no period related symptoms. After that time, i went to the doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS. I was referred to a gynecologist who prescribed me birth control pills (monofeme) to regulate my period. The pill did regulate my period, but after a while, i felt more moody, depressed and fatigued in ways that i didn't experience before i started the pill. I haven't had much trouble with PCOS besides my weight issue which after so many diets, i am slowly losing by healthy eating and exercise. I have since gone off the pill and have had light spotting for about a month. I went to a Chinese herbalist to help stop the spotting and it worked. After all this, I feel much better now that i'm off the pill but i was wondering if there are any health risks if my period does not come for months at a time? Or should i go back to the doctor to find an alternative treatment?
