Iud for 4 years but it's shifted and now I have a pinkish discharge

I have had my iud for about 4 years now, last year when I thought about removing it I found out that it had migrated and is now stuck and requires surgical removal but the doctor said we really don't have to worry about that until it's time to remove it at 5 years. But he also said it shouldn't be causing any pain or bleeding. However the last 6 months or so I've had a creamy pink discharge. It doesn't smell or anything and there no pain or actual bleeding. I've taken a pregnancy test and that's not it. At first I though the discharge was a small amount of blood associated with sex but I've been single for 2 months now with no sex and it's still happening daily. Any ideas?

I think I would get the IUD removed sooner than the doctor said. A "stuck" IUD just does not sound good. It's probably not causing the discharge, though.

You want it out of there because you don't want it to cause scar tissue that would later make it difficult for an embryo to adhere, when you are trying to get pregnant.
Oh I already have 3 amazing kids. I don't want anymore so not an issue
