Knee pain, with Period

Ok so I have really painful periods, and heavy bleeding, but besides this, I get extreme knee pain...well the pain starts where the leg and pelvis connect to the knee...The knee swells to a very big size and very painful to walk or move my knee and leg. I can't find any info on what is causing this...Does anyone know where I can find info on this or does any one have this problem?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem very heavy and painful periods. Pain from my pelvis area into my back and down to my knees. But my doctor says it's due to me having endometriosis. And it also happens when I get ovarian cysts. Just due to your painful heavy periods I would ask your doctor about endometriosis.  Good luck.

I have a five month old baby. Last month was my first period after pregnancy. I had knee pains right after the delivery, but i assumed that its because of the weight that i had gained during pregnancy. My family physician said the same thing. But just with my periods last month my both knees swelled up and I couldn't move my legs at all. I went to see the specialist and she asked me to go for physio therapy and an MRI. Its been a month waiting for  MRI appointment and now my periods are due again. My both knees are swelled up from the back now. I am taking anti inflamatory so i guess thats why the pain is bearable so far. I' searching for answers too. Let me know if you find something. I just find that putting an ice pack and raising your legs on double pillows hep.

Good luck and wish you best of health. I know how painful it is.
