i found a site that says this is the worst pill ever and now im scared..lol.. i wanted to do a lil resarch on em before i go n have em filled.. is it really bad or not?
I'm 29 years old and I have never use birth control. I been having heavy long menstrual periods and very bad cramps so my GYN suggested that I should took birth control so she prescribed Lo/Ovral. I wanted some opinion before taking them. Does it makes you gain weight? Acne? Etc.....
Thanks,
Stacy
I was on the lo/ovral pills and they work great. No pimples or anything. If you have cramps with your period there will be no more. You should really try them.
I just started taking Lo Ovral yesterday, on the first day of my cycle, and was wondering how long it takes to become effective enough to have sex without using back-up contraceptives (condoms). The instructions from the pharmacy say only 7 days, but I need to be sure.
I was on cryselle the generic brand for lo/ovral for a month then i switch to the orignal lo/ovral is there a big differnce on that? also do you have to take the pill at the same time everyday or as long as you the pill everyday?
wow...thanks so much for the reply!! i cant start taking these pills until im done with Provera to make sure that controls my bleeding, but i cant wait!! cuz condoms are really gross...lol
thanks and take care!!!
I was on them for about 5-6 years and had no problems whatsoever. I have migraines so this worked for me. No breakthough bleeding or anything. But, I goofed and had depo-provera shot after my ds was born and screwed things up royally. Good luck to you and hope you have as good results as I did. Oh...I went off of the pill to get pregnant. It only took me one month to conceive!
