Lining of the uterus thickened on ultrasound........period 4 weeks late

I have a quick question. I am now 4 week late on my period and I went in for an ultrasound on today and the doctor said that my uterus lining was thick. I know that usually happen at around two weeks of pregnancy. I haven't seen a period in 8 total weeks now. He also only spent about 20 seconds on the entire ultrasound exam too, so I'm thinking he might have overlooked alot of stuff. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this. Please share your input with me. I'd really appreciate it.

ok so today is Aug 13th and i have not had my period since the first week of May!  I went to the doctors today after taking a home preg test and it coming back neg.  The ultra sound showed a very thick lining around my uterus but she really did not tell me anything.. She said it could be that my period is about to come or that i am at the early stages of being preg and to wait a couple weeks and come back if i dont get my period.  However i had my tubes tied last sept after i had my daughter so this would be crazy if i were to be preg.  dont know what to do?

Last week i had a positive test pregnancy, also has preganancy symptoms as well. Couple day later, i experience light cramp and backache, the pain on and off.  and spot coming out.  I had less pregnancy symptom now, but my breast still tenderness, and sore. Ob refer me for the hormone blood test. Till now i still have spotting and no cramp, but until last time cramp hitting me again, and i took tylenol just for safe (pregnant). THis morning call my dr. told everything what happen last night, the nurse say i should take advil or motrin to relieve my pain, and the dr. is now reviewing my blood test result. They would let me in the office, they say all book up today. So tomorrow morning i have appt. with the dr. THat a bummer!! I was concern maybe i had misscarriage, cu'z nurse told me to take advil or motrin, that mean im no longer pregnant, maybe my hormone level has drop.  Also i went on ultrasound dr. didn't seen anything, beside she told me my uterine lining wall is thicken. CAn anyone tell me what is going on?

I recently went to the OB/GYN and had a cervical ultrasound done and on April 9th scheduled for a biopsy.  During a regular pap exam the doctor stated he seen a red dot on my cervix and scheduled me for the ultra sound.  The results from the ultrasound came back and the doctor told me that my uterus lining was thick.  He wants to move forward with a biopsy.  I have very heavy periods with bad cramps.  I am very concern about this biopsy.  I am 35 years old and had a biopsy done when I was 19, it was extremely painful.  What is the full purpose of a Biopsy?

I had a uteran ablation done in July and I was very pleased with the results even though I still had my period. My last menstrual cycle I had a lot of severe cramping and pain. I have had a kidney stone and two children without pain meds and this was very uncomfortable. I was unable to get in to see my Dr. and figured if it hurt this bad next go around I would do something about it. Well it's next go around and it's twice as bad. It's got me doubled over and having cold sweats. It takes my breath away like I'm in labor. Due to my uterus being tilted back I'm having really bad back pain as well.  I had ultrasounds done the other day and so far all they can tell me is that my Uterus looks thick. Who knows. All I know is that I am very uncomfortable right now. Does anybody have any suggestions.
