Long period

Hi I started my period 14 days ago and I am still spotting now I also keep getting little shooting pains up my vagina any help would be appreciated I am 28 years old

I am not on any birth control at the moment I was having the depo I had to shots then stopped I got a period a month later and had  1 every month for 6 months and now this as happened could it be connected I went to my doctor but she said give it another week

Hello:) There are many reasons for very prolonged/heavy periods. It could be due to actual problems within the cavity or walls of the uterus or it could be caused by the type of birth control you're on. Def see your GYN and get checked out. Good luck and let us know how you make out...

You need to get checked by your gyn for this.  An IUD can cause something like this if it gets out of place, but we don't know if you have an IUD.  Just get a check.
