Long periods with brown discharge

Most times, my periods would be heavy for a few days then I'd start to get a brown discharge that slowly turns into my regular discharge(this whole thing  usually lasts a little over a week). Sometimes(this is happening now), I would have excessive black/brown discharge after the normal bleeding. However, this time around.... it seems to be lasting forever. I'm coming close to 2 weeks now. Is this okay? My period wasn't as heavy this time around but to make up for that this is happening :\

I have no idea what those are.. are they harmful?
https://www.womenshealth.gov/a-z-topics/uterine-fibroids  you can search on google to get more information.  I am just saying that mine is a result of fibriods and cysts,  it is best you go see a gynecologist so they can determine the cause of your problem. The symptoms may look the same but the cause different. Please don't delay. All the best to you.
