vaginal bleeding after sex and bowel movements

O, so I had my tubes tied in july (they put rings on) since then I have had painful ovulation and heavy periods. I have also been bleeding vaginally after a bowel movement and sex. I get sharp pains in my pelvic area that cramp into my hip and down my leg.

I went to the ER and they did blood tests, a urine test, and an internal ultrasound and said everything looked fine.

Has anyone else had any experiences like this? Did they figure out what was causing it? And could it be a result of having the rings on my tubes?

i also bleed vaginally after sex & bms...but not all the time. i had a tl 17 yrs ago and LEEP procedure for HPV...the intermittent bleeding started after the LEEP procedure i think bc they remove part of the cervix, which I guess makes less of a barrier, thus allowing blood flow when there's a lot of strain.

I also bleed after sex and bowel movements (vaginally) I have been told the cervix is very sensitive and any strain can cause spotting. Also problems attributed to long time hormonal birth control

Bleeding vaginally after having a BM is not normal, at all.  Are you sure it's vaginal?  Could it be from your rectum instead (hemorrhoids)?  Keep pursuing this question - if it truly is vaginal bleeding.

Also, I have heard from several people that having your tubes tied does create heavy periods so I think you're okay there.

If you're not satisfied with your doctor's evaluation, then don't hesitate to get a second opinion.

Good luck!!
