I've had this happen sometimes in this last several months or so but not to the severity it did today. This last week I felt an "achiness" in my pelvis (that part I've experienced many times), similar to a menstrual cramp but I got my period a couple of weeks ago. Today it hurt so bad I could barely walk. It wasn't cramping per se, but painful. It's better now but I'm not sure I understand why I'm experiencing this pain. I assumed it could be ovulation since I've had breast tenderness too but I haven't had anything this painful before. Usually I just get a few mentrual cramps the day of my period or day after then I'm ok.
I'm not on birth control and my husband had a vasectomy so there's no risk of pregnancy. I'm just wondering why I'm experiencing this pain at my age (45) when I've never had it to this degree before? I heard this all gets better as you age, not worse. My periods are a bit lighter, but I wouldn't think I'd be entering Menopause yet.
Any ideas?
