Miscarriage and horrible headache

Hello, I found out today that I had a miscarriage. I assumed I was pregnant last month because I missed my period and just had that feeling. However, it was never detected in my blood. I had a blood preg test on Dec. 27th and took several at home tests throughout the month of Dec. All negative. I had tissue fall out of my vagina one week ago jan 21st and the dr suspcted pregnancy so they did another blood test but came out negative again. No hcg was ever detected in my blood. They sent the tissue off to pathology thinking it was something else but it was determined today that the tissue was part of the placenta and that I actually did miscarry. For 9 days now I have been suffering from a non-stop head pain on the left side of my head and at times it turns into an unbearable headache..migraine type..that lasts nearly all day, preventing me from doing my daily activitied because its so painful. I have also been woken up at night by an awful stabbing pain on both sides of my head, almost like an electric shock. Very painful. I have never been diagnosed with migraines. My dr has scheduled me for an MRI of the brain next week. Any ideas on what type of headache this might be and if it is related to the miscarriage?

Wow, sounds just like my issue. I wouldn't be surprised if you actually did miscarry too. I had 2 doctors tell me I wasn't preg and that it couldn't be a miscarriage because there was no hcg detected in my blood. But the pathology report showed that it was tissue of the placenta.I finally stopped spotting a few days ago. I am on the nuvaring as well and have been since august. and yes, I am actually scheduled for an MRI of the brain as well as the transvaginal ultrasound on tuesday.

Wow makes me wonder if I had a miscarriage as well, seeing I had the same thing happen with the tissue, and oddly enough when I passed it my cervix was high and felt fairly open.  I know it's gross to some that Im comfortable sticking my fingers up there. I was told by a dr as well as online that it was probably just uterine lining.  I have had negative blood and urine tests from December to january when I passed it.  I had alot of spotting issues nov, dec and Jan.  Which stopped after the sheets of tissue came out.  I started nuvaring at the end of dec.

Are they going to do a trans vag to see if there is any tissue left inside?
