Miscarriage

I had a Miscarriage and had to have a D and C done that was in nov 18th and i still have not have had my period and today is Dec 21st how long after a D and C should i get my period.....I'm not on birth control because we are going to try again but they told me to wait atleast two periods I don't want to rush anything but they told me 2 to 4 weeks before my period begins. I stopped bleeding  about a week to a few days after my D an C. I have had sex but mostly protected  sex but one time... The Dr told me i prob won't ovulate but he has seen it in the passed i just want everything to be right... So I was wondering how long after should i get a normal period and if i haven't gotten one should i call or be worried? Please and during a exam they found a mass on of my ovaries but he thought that it was okay?! is there something I'm missing here!

well thank you.. they found the mass on my ovary when i had ultra sound done he said he was sure it was a cyst and they would just have to keep on eye on if it got bigger or what not...Cyst at my age 26 are very common. but i have a pap smear every year and this was the first time. It was on the right. Well i just hope my period comes it;s very nerve racking... This was my third pregnancy and my first miscarriage. My first born was born with a rare kidney disease that she passed away from but i have one healthy child.. Just ***** but I'm blessed to have my happy healthy 5 year old :)

Hello,

First of all, I am very sorry about your miscarriage.  Usually your period should show up within 6 weeks after a D and C, so yours could show up at any time.  I'd probably wouldn't start to worry until after the 6 weeks.  You could take a home pregnancy test right now but I am not sure how accurate it would be.  As far as the mass goes, that would have me a little worried and I would go for a second opinion if all this doctor said was he "thought" everything was ok.  Please let us know how everything goes and I wish you the best of luck next time in trying to conceive :)
