My Wives Having Pains

My wife has been having pains all thru her sides and seems like the pain hurts bad enough that can even makes her cry. I'm worried about my wife and She wont go to the hospital as I've told her she needs to do. I know that having side pains can be a number of things. She smokes and does not drink. She is age 25. The 1st night the pains started she was throwing up now she is just in pain mostly and has been sleeping. she seems to not have any pains while sleeping she seems fine. Once she wakes she feels the pain.  She says the smell of foods makes her want to throw up so she has been drinking but not eating as she should be. I worried do you have any thoughts to  what I should do. I can't force someone to go to the ER as i wish i could, But i do need to know if  she is putting herself in danger as i care very much for my wife.
