No Periods for 3 yrs WHY?

I have not had a period in almost 3 years and I have been to the dr and checked to make sure Iam not premenapausal. Iam not. Also, Iam not pregnant.
Iam 43 years old I know my estrogen level goes down to nothing 0 zero when Im
suppose to be having a period once a month. So my hormones are probably all messed up could that cause me to gain weight? I have gained about 30 pds and
I dont eat very much at all.Not enough to look like I do. If anyone has any idea what could be making me gain weight and not get a period every month I would be very grateful for any information.   Thanks,  mamakim

I have gained weight and that CAUSED my cycle to get all messed up...

However thyroid problems cause NO cycle, irregular cycle and weight GAIN...

You definitely need your thyroids checked... Plus another thing, a negative test is sooooo easy to show on a thyroid test as I have had friends get tested many times before getting there positive as it runs in our family too...

Also if you have no appeite is another side effect and tiredness, and another symptoms... Please get to a thyroid doctor because most likely that is what is wrong.

i think you are in menopause and maybe have a thryroid problem because of the weight gain.

The weight gain could be from thiroid problems, I'm not sure if that could cause you not to have a period... but what has the doctor said about you not having a period?

What did the doctor say? Are they not doing anything for you?  Maybe you have polycystic ovary syndrome.
