Ok. So this will be a little long but please bare with me. A little background...I'm 14 and I'll be 15 pretty soon. I started my period when I was ten, it's always been irregular. Im in pretty good health. I'm at a healthy weight. I'm active as I play soccer. Towards the beginning of this year I noticed my side hurt awfully when I ran. And I could tell it was not what people call 'side stitches' because it was lower. So I went to the doctor about it and found that my left ovary was swollen. She gave me antibiotics for it that I had to take for 7 days. I made sure to take the whole round and it helped for a little while. And for a while it would only hurt occasionally when I ran. But recently it's been getting worse and it's every time I run. Last week it hurt on both sides, as if both my ovaries were swollen. Ok. My boyfriend and I made the choice to have sex, and it was my first time...so he was in or whatever and it hurt so bad. I was close to crying. I know your first few times or something is supposed to hurt a little but this wasn't just a little. This felt like something was bad wrong. And I was just wondering if maybe possibly I'm just overreacting or if I need to do something about it? Please please help because it's actually really scaring me
In the meantime, don't have any more sex. You could certainly get pregnant, or an STD. It's going to be hard to talk to your doctor with your mom in the room if you are having sex. The doctor will suspect you have an ectopic pregnancy if you keep having sex and then have these symptoms. You are only 14. There are a lot of reasons to stop being sexually active at least until you get over the cysts -- it is NOT going to start to feel better without some medical help, so don't let your boyfriend make you feel worse.
