Novasure and tissue discharge and no sex drive

I had Novasure done 17 days ago- and I went on this site for info before and after my procedure, so I thought I would post some info I have..that nobody else seems to have posted yet

I had very heavy periods with a lot of clots, and about 4 months out of the year my craps were very very (debilitating) severe (and this is coming from someone who gave natural birth).  I actually gave up on tampons a long time ago, they did not work at all, and pads still leaked from the sides, so I actually went to RAGS- Costco sells a pack of white rags and I would use those, folded over a few times, it's all I could use and feel confident about leaving the house!  Also, I was tired of dr's asking "when was the first day of your last period" I was like, I don't know, you mean the day the brown stuff starts or the red spotting or the really heavy stuff?

A couple of years ago, my OB/GYN said that he'd give me a hysterectomy.  I am 37 and I have two kids, my husband has a vasectomy.. however I had never had any type of surgery and I was apprehensive and I didn't follow up-

This year I had had enough and I went back to my dr to get a consult on the hysterectomy.  He recommended novasure instead.  I agreed to get this done.. BUT I was again wary because it was to be done in his office and my instructions were to take a xanix and a vicoden before going in for the procedure.  I was VERY nervous about this- a xanix just makes me sleep for 14 hours and vicoden makes me itch and I really wished I was knocked out because reading on this site it seemed that people get knocked out for this but... um.. I have to follow through because my very high insurance deductible has been met already this year and I need to get this done by the end of the year..

So- I go into my appt with my xanix and vicoden taken and they numb my cervix with about 5 shots and the procedure is very quick and I am back out of the exam room in literally 10 minutes.

I have pretty bad cramping the rest of the day and a heating pad is a MUST for this- I take the vicoden, itch and can't sleep- take a xanix to sleep and the next day the cramping is not even like my period..

I bleed all of the time since then- watery red gushes and I have been through two boxes of pads- It has been 17 days and it's not letting up.  HOWEVER, I thought I NEED to post this because I did not find anyone else that posted this- I HAVE HAD DEAD TISSUE FALLING OUT OF ME!  Like anything from what looks like ground turkey to clumps the size of a lima/fava bean!  The past two days I also have been experiencing cramping like I did the first day.  I went back to my dr today about it=

I guess that this is not abnormal but not the norm.  BUT MY DOCTOR DID SAY THAT THEY ALSO DO NOVASURE IN THE HOSPITAL AND IF I HAD A D&C BEFORE THE PROCEDURE, THEN THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.  I had no idea about this option before my procedure, and if I DID know, I would have done the D&C and gone to the hospital just because of getting anesthetic (twilight ot knocked out) - My dr' told me "ooh, but you would have had to be in the hospital for hours and it would have taken up your whole day ..."

UM- you know what?  I would rather have gone to the hospital and gotten knocked out than be so nervous about the whole thing and having dead tissue clumps falling out and bleeding a good amount still 17 days later!

Also- I am not an orgasm addict or anything, but I do usually have at least 4 a week ( I am in my mid 30's!!)- and since I have had this Novasure done, I have had NO SEX DRIVE at all (and it usually doesn't matter if I am having my period or anything)- I tried to masturbate last weekend (it was my birthday lol) and it took a long time and it was a very weak orgasm, so I am very afraid that something got messed up in that aspect too.  (Intercourse is absolutely out of the question!) It's been 17 days and I do not want sex at all in any aspect and when I did try it ONCE, it was difficult and a dud!  I would have regularly had at least 7 great orgasms in this period of time!

I have read about the scar tissue after Novasure interfering with orgasms so I am afraid of that now too.  I have always been a very sexual person and that is one of the reasons why I had this done - If I am bleeding for 2 weeks out of the month, and my husband won't go anywhere near me if there is any chance of blood, that really interfered with our sex life- but now I am afraid that I've lost my drive and/or ability to have pleasure even!!!  I cannot even think of this!

If anyone else has experienced anything like this, please let me know what happened!

This is not something I was warned about at all. It's messing up my life.
