My hcg level is 1504 and I am worried that it will not go up any higher. It started out at 609 and then 845 and then 1486 and now it is 1504. Going for another one in a week. Did anyone else experience low increases on there hcg levels and go on to have a normal pregnancy?
About the hcg levels not doubling, I just went through that. Found out I was pregnant and my first hcg was 3753, 2 days later was only 4500, u/s did not show much, another hcg level 5 days past the 4500 one was only 10,000, my progesterone level was low at 12 and I was taking 100 mg. twice a day. The dr said it wasn't looking good. A 2nd u/s a week later showed no change. I had a D&C yest am. I am 40 so it scares me that I may not get pregnant again. I will try though. The D&C was painless and easy. Emotionally was the hard part. It just sucks to have to go through this but the more people I talk to the more common I find it is. It happens soooooooo often.
I've never dealt with low progesterone myself but from reading questions and posts on this forum for 6 months now, I do know that a progesterone level of 10 or more is needed to sustain a pregnancy (or so it is believed and recommended). My progesterone at 10 dpo was around 46 so your's is very low. I don't want to be the one that's bearing bad news (just honest and realistic) but I'm not sure if it's too late to begin progesterone at this stage. A lot of women get tested at 7 dpo and if found to be low, their doc begins them right away or next cycle right from O to AF or O to BFP right through to 13 weeks when the placenta takes over progesterone production. Wishing you the very best of luck and lots of sticky baby dust to you********************************
