Period help!

I gave birth June 21st via csection and also had my tubes clamped. My first period was exactly 6 weeks post Partom and was really heavy ( soaking super pad and tampon within 30 mins day and night) and lasted 11 days. Went to doctor and they did u/s and found small uterine fibroids. My next period was a week late and lasted about the same duration and about same heaviness. My next period comes exactly 28 days and seems normal for 2 days then the really heavy for a few days and now brown blood and sometimes bright red! Today makes day 16 being on my period.. My insurance canceled as I lost my job because of this so going to the doctor right now is not a option.. It's really taking a toll on me :( :( anyone ever been through this. I am 31 and 3 kids ages 13,11, and 4 months

No stds, pregnancy, hormones. Very small uterine fibroids. Doctor said that shouldn't cause me to bleed as bad as I am. Doing research a lot of women bleed heavier and longer after getting there tubes tied and I'm really wondering if that's the cause of mine. Waiting for new insurance to kick in and find a doctor who will listen to be. 17 day period is way to long!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You seem to be having the symptoms of metrorrhagia(heavy periods). Various factors causing it are endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy, hormone imbalance, endometrial hyperplasia, polyps, use of IUD’s and depo shots, sexually transmitted diseases,PCOS and benign and malignant pathologies of the uterus.
I would suggest you to consult a gynecologist and get a pelvic examination, hormone panel, ultrasound and swab culture done to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment depends on the confirmation of diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
