Period a brown color

My period was late this month and when I finally got something it has been a brown color. Usually I will have a brownish discharge just before I start but it usually only lasts a day. This has been going on for about 3 days now. Is this normal or should I go see a doctor about it?

I did right before this started but I have taken two pregnancy tests and they have both been negative.

Have you had sex recently? Brown blood being released can happen when a fertilised egg implants into your womb.
