Weird Periods

Last month my period came very early, like the day after i finished the active pills (Sunday) it lasted until Friday of that week with just spotting on Saturday. Then today, Wednesday, a week before my period would usually start and three days before I finish the active pills, I noticed thick brown gooey stuff in my underwear. I changed them and threw on a pad, and it's still coming... Not a lot though, my mom said it was blood left over from my last period that decided to come now? So I guess I'm just wondering why my periods are so weird and if it's what my mom said or am I actually starting my period today? Because last month when it came early it started with spotting then turned into a regular period, it didn't look so brown and gooey though... So can someone tell me what's up with my body?

I went to the dr and she said that the reason i've been starting my periods so early is because of starting Clonazepam 3-4 months ago, but after an intense search of the web i found out than Clonazepam (Klonopin) doesn't effect birth control.... She also said that the calorie counting diet is not the culprit either and a blood test confirmed that i am not pregnant. So i wasted $200 for a dr to tell me nothing true except i'm not pregnant (which is good) So if it's not the diet or the new medicine and i'm not pregnant or under any stress...Why are my periods early?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Brown discharge from the vagina could be due to normal shedding of uterine lining (old menstrual blood) or an oncoming early period. But you should check up with a gynaecologist to rule out any vaginal infection or abnormality. The normal vaginal discharge is not foul smell and usually clear or milky. There are certain things that may cause change in appearance of vaginal discharge like menstrual cycle, ovulation, emotional stress, use of pills or diet.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
