BV w/ no odor? BURNING

Ok, I have posted a few times reguarding this issue, but things just keep getting stranger.  I have been doing TONS of research about BV lately since I have unfortunately been dealing with this problem.  I have this weird thin cloudy discharge and then sometimes I get like a clear strechy discharge.  I don't know what this is. I have no odor but just this uncomfortable burning sensation most of the time.  Nothing seems to be helping.  I have taken Flagyl 2 times already and the burning only goes away for a few days then returns.  Could this be something else?  I also have been noticing that I have to pee more lately, and when I look at myself in the mirror, sometimes it looks like there is also discharge around my urethra.  I can't tell for sure if it's just the discharge from my BV or if it's actually coming from the urethra and being that I have to pee more often, could this also be like a UTI or something.  I'm so scared and don't want to have to deal with this for the rest of my life.  Please help if possible.  Could my birth contrl be causing this?  I have been on Ortho tri cylcen for over 8months now.  I am 24 and in a long term monogamous relationship.  I don't know what kind of tests to ask the doctor to do..HELP!!

The doctor can determine if you have BV by looking at a sample of your discharge under the microscope.  Sometimes BV can be very difficult to treat.  Me and my DH also did two rounds of flagyl and it did not work.  I eventually was prescribed a supposity called Cleocin (I think) that you inserted vaginally for three days.  That finally did the trick.  And you need to refrain from sex until you get it completely cleared up.

Hope this helps.

you didnt say whether or not your dr. diagnosed you as having BV? unless i missed that part??
i THOUGHT i had a YI in the works last week.(discharge, burning, redness, itching, irritation) but the discharge i was experiencing was not your "typical" YI discharge (chunky, cottage-cheese like) so i did not treat it. i attributed the burning, redness to a new lubricant that i suspected caused this irritation and discharge. anyway, i went to the dr (today as a matter of fact) and she asked if i thought i had a uti. did a pee sample and nothing. she did a culture on the discharge and sure enough, yeast infection. i seriously did not think that was it. the dr. said many woman come in to the office due to the burning than because of the discharge. she also said it did not have to be clumpy to be a YI. i asked her about BV and she said no, not in my case and typically BV has a foul odor. do you? you may be treating yourself for something you do not have. this stuff is soo common, your dr. should be able to guide you as to what tests to do based upon yur symptoms and prescribe you the proper treatment. rotton i KNOW!!!
