take your time. Don't rush to lose your virginity.
Watch this, it's a good explanation: https://youtu.be/9qFojO8WkpA
Also, while it is important to not let yourself get pressured into anything you don't want - of course - losing your virginity isn't that big of a deal. Like the video says, it's not like you pop something or lose something, or like there is any real change to your body at all. Not being a virgin simply means you've had sex (and it can be any kind of sex, not just the penis-in-vagina kind), nothing more and nothing less. Make your own decisions, do what makes you happy, but remember that "losing your virginity" is a misnomer. You're actually gaining an important experience. Make sure it's a good one.
PS. Also, like the video says, there is NO NEED for bleeding or pain the first time you have sex. Go slow and careful, communicate, and use lube if needed.
Don't worry, it doesn't make a popping sound. And it does not always bleed, either. It might be a little painful, though, which is one of the best reasons only to have sex when you are totally ready, excited and in love. Don't let some horndog boyfriend talk you into it because he wants to have sex, you have to be so physically excited that you want to.
Hi,
It's a crude phrase used to describe when a girl/woman loses her virginity by having her hymen ruptured ("broken") during sexual intercourse. The hymen is a membrane made of soft tissue at the vaginal opening, which naturally gets stretched once a woman has sex ~ which is considered normal. Hope this helped answer your question :)
